About Your Session

I like to provide a very personal experience for my clients, from the customized planning of your session to the hand delivery of your personal artwork.  I believe the whole process should be relaxing, easy and most of all fun.

Pre-Session Consultation

Prior to your session, we will meet for the planning of your shoot.  We will discuss theme, location, wardrobe and styling.  At this time we will also go over policies and the session process.

I would like your child(ren) to be present for a portion of our meeting so I can get to know them a little before the session.  I find I am able to capture truer expressions from children when I’ve had opportunity to meet with them beforehand.

The pre-session consultation is best held at your home as this will be where your child(ren) are most comfortable and will give me opportunity to talk and play with them without distraction.

Portrait Session

Sessions are treated more like a playdate than a portrait session and are done at the pace of your child.  Games are played, silly face contests are had, lots of running and jumping are done . . .

Up to two hours are allotted for your session (four for newborns) to allow for any needed snack and cuddle breaks, though most sessions, excluding newborns, take no longer than an hour.

Parents are to sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee and just relax and trust me to capture the images you will love!

Ordering Session

The ordering session will be held about two weeks after your portrait session.  I will have individually hand edited each of your images and these will be presented to you at the ordering session for you to view.  Ordering sessions are laid back, and while I will be happy to assist you in choosing your images and help prepare wall galleries, there will be no high pressure sale tactics.

Portrait Delivery

Approximately 2-6 weeks (depending on items ordered) after the ordering session, I will hand deliver your portraits.
